By accident I stumbled across an article on audiworld about an LED light that went into the armrest console, it plugged into the phone jack - no conversion or mod was necessary. Does anyone know where I could get one? The site that was linked in the thread is gone. Just wondering if anyone has one or knows where to get it.

what exactly did it do?

not much - a blue or red led illuminated the armrest compartment when open

that sounds pretty cool...wish that was still around

Not hard to make - the wiring to the phone jack already has power going through it. Get yourself a plug that fits the jack, and add an LED to it. Voila - you have your led light. Simple as shizzle.

yeah I got one working. Pos & Neg on led goes to red and green on the phone wires.

The problem is making one that looks good :)

You also have to either buy or make a connector for the trunk to provide power to the phone jack in the console.
