I just recently got a 2005 1.8T. I was wondering if I could buy a wood kit from audi, to replace the aluminun dash thats in there now? how much does it cost?

most people do the opposite swap! No idea how much it would cost. Call the dealership and get some part numbers and i'll get you some better prices than them.

Trim kits are available from aftermarket mail-order catalogues which specialize in Audi's and othe European cars. I recently saw trim kits listed in the LL Tek Motorsports catalogue (www.lltek.com). Is probably alot more affordable that the Audi dealer.

Hi folks

Does anyone know where I can get aluminium or black trim for my new A3 SE? I'm in the UK.

Is it difficult to do / should I take it to a dealer or specialist?

i would just type in dash trims to ur search engine then search there. I would think they would have it. Alos they say they are simple to do just clean the dash and apply the dash pieces very carefully. U could also go to an installer.

Thanks.

All I can find is BDtrims.com - they have an aluminium kit, but it doesn't have the door inlays. Does anyone know anywhere else that might do this?

Have you tried posting on audi-sport.net? The guys there are mostly in the UK and have a lot of resources for those of you living across the pond.

dude, the aluminum interior is sweet. i'm surprised you'd want the wood, especially considering your age...but to each his own.

it's funny, my friend's been talking about taking the wood trim out of his bimmer and replacing it with aluminum ever since he's spent time in the b6 a4.

I would trade my mint condition wood trim out of my 02 3.0 for the aluminum as long as the aluminum is mint also

also, what does it take to swap it? Is it a pain in the ass?

if ur looking for wood go to wooddashman.com If u want to see pictures of an installed wood kit take a look at my photo album. I have sum pics on my interior. Its a whole lot cheaper then getting a kit from audi and it looks better to. I have yet to see an audi with the interior i have so lemme know.
