Default Turbo Kit

So I met with a guy from Evolution Motorsports today. We threw around some numbers and we figured about 12,000 is what I'll be spending. This including; the turbo kit, intercooler, clutch, exhaust, motormounts, forged internals and installation. I have a commission coming that'll be about 30,000 so I'll have no trouble spending this kind of money.... Just debating if I really want to do this or not. I'll more than likely be getting coilovers and a brembo brake kit so I'm looking at another 3000 there. I paid 11k for the car, so I'd be in it for 26k at this point.

Decisions decisions.

specs of "turbo kit"?
what ic core?
what internals? (might not even be needed, plus scats are drop-ins for atc engines and intergrated engineering has rods for the rest of the 180's)

Whatever core that Evolution MS sells. It's on their website I believe. www.evoms.com

And the kit is the Del Rio kit. Not sure what internals yet. I didn't get to talk to their tech, just a sales rep. I'll be meeting with the tech next week.

Here's the link to their IC. http://www.evoms.com/marketplace/Vie...09E3DAF423E%7D

The reason we were thinking internals is because I have 80k miles on the car.

That is bs. You dont need internals. If you want to refresh your engine just get it honed and some new rings. If you get the 28rs version you deffinatly dont need rods, and the 2871r uses a .86 turbine, which also, doesnt need rods. I would pass on the internals unless you want to go bigger later. Do a compression test first and if that checks out i would pass altogether.

Okay will do. Like I said I only talked to the sales rep. I'll be meeting with a tech next week to talk more.

Should I look into getting a Haldex controller as well?

ask the tech if he has ever heard of the upgraded Haldex controllers putting too much stress on the rear Diff when you go Big turbo. i have heard this from Ecodetuning and Renn-Art its a shame too cuz i really wanted that blue or orange ECU but not if i will be removing it later to save the rear diff.

Yeah, I forgot to bring it up with the rep but I doubt he'd know much about it anyways since he's more of a VW guy. I'll ask the tech when I meet with him and see what he thinks.
