Well theres almost a 200.00 price difference... becuase 245x35's r a non common tire.cheapest 245x35 i found is 141 per tire and its special order others were around 160-165... I wonder how much of a difference in terms of looks between 235x40 18 and 245x35x18.... what you think? spend the extra 200.00 for wider?

18x8.5's

 

wider = slower,more grip, more$, andsexier

 

better bet would be a 255/35, should bring you closer to original rolling radius than your selections.

255???? yes it would put me closer but Thats coming pretty close to fitting on an 8.5 inch rim isnt it?? Thats a BIG tire lol Thats a 10 inch wide tire on an 8.5 inch rim

I'd rather (from experience) have a little more tire than a little less on my rim. I've scuffed the lip on my rims twice because theres not enough sidewall to protect the lip, and that little 'rim saver' edge on the tire is pulled back to the point its just about worthless.

 

Well i dont plan on coming anywhere neatr any curbs lol BUt my main concern was what a 255 tire will look like on an 8.5 rim ? I guess pretty similar to a 245 lol But isnt the tire bulging over the lip? Cuase it looks to me like the 255's r cheaper then the 245's so if they dont look bad ill go with them.

 

Will you still be able to turn with a 255 on the front? Ifso thats what I'm goin with I love the look of wide tires from the back
