Default New intake..$98.00! :) .1 1/2 more pounds boost :)

Installed the new intake.... Velocity stack and Blitz Cone filter.... Grand total!??? $$ 98.00

I think it looks prety good...I got a breather for the pump hose also but....when i took the top part of the Stock filter box off i noticed HEY..... I can keepThe stock Bottom part of the boxin here and it may actually work better cuase the new filter comes reaaaly close to the factory cold air intake with it in.... and I dont even have to remove the stock breather from the air box Sounds supppppper loud and Car peaks @ 21-22 psi and settles to 19

Thanks....I Got my timing belt kit installed yesterday 620.00 out the door .... And was waiting around and saw a 6 inch Blitz filter in the glas case.... and said hey what size stack is on that he said 3" to 6" i said sh$# that will work... so i Tried it and my car turned into a jet....i waqs really suprised that i got another almost 2 pounds of boost.... And the bottom filter box works good instead of having a huge hole there

Im just curious after seeing how well this flows.... as to why people spend 250-300.00 for the same maybe even less air flow... All for a little heat reduction? Which the intercooler willcool before it goes into the motor anyway ?

i have been saying that for a...LONG time now. Then only thing i came up with is that they are all into heat deflection and/or its the lemming effect. You turbo needs airflow to make boost, not 10* cooler air.

Do what you did, and add water/meth injection and you have all the cooling power you need. That and a good FMIC.
