Has anyone done a DYI engine oil change on the Q7 4.2?

same as any other car?? but change the oil filter as well

Does anyone make a magnetic drain plug? - a chip detector, so to speak. I have one on my XC70 and is collects plenty of ferrous material - mine came from ipd USA.
