I have a apr boost gage in the dash. It works fine if I use my mouth to test it. But it stays just above 0 always now. My car goes into limpmode often and at higher RPMs The car will fall on it face. Plus when I get on the gas I can smell exhaust bad in the cabin of the car. Windows up or down with AC on. Somone has mentioned waste gate to me but I dont even know where the hell it is. Ive checked all my hoses for being loose or holes but nothing (in sight)

Any clue where to start or should I take it in and get it done?

The boost still works when I reset the ECU. But Boost gage doesent work still.

I can feel the pull nice sometimes and other times its just yuck no power.

Give me any Ideas! I would love to hear them lol

The inconsistency at high RPM's might be coil-packs...Are you throwing out CEL codes? List em' if you are... (you can get free VAG-COM at Autozone)

 

Even with no CEL, you should have codes if you go into limp. You wastegate is just behind the turbo. take off the intercooler piping coming out of the turbo and look down, its right there. It could be sticking closed if you never seem to go into vacuum. You should get that checked out, and replace the wastegate asap if need be.
