does the 4.2 stock sit lower than the 6 cylinder
I'm trying to buy springs and don't want it to be to low but be right on top the wheel. I can't afford coilover's right now. I was thinking H&R race springs. They would give me 1.9 in the front and 1.5 in the rear. The h&r website does not specify the 6 or 8 cylider as being different ride heights on the stock springs. Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
I think you're saying the 8 weigh's more than the 6. Does the stock suspension compensate and sit them both at the same height on stock springs? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Thanks
Do yo have the sport package? If so, it definitely sits lower than the V6. I have 18 inch wheels on mine with sport package and it sits plenty low. I havepeople ask me if I have suspension all the time. I wouldn't recommend putting springs on the 4.2. I questioned doing it and all of the feedback was negative. You will lose a ton of ride quality. Do you have any pics of your car? I'd like to see how it sits.

Not sure if it's the sprt package. The car is loaded and came with the five spoke wheel that the TT's have. Don't know if that makes it quilify. Don't have pics yet since I've only had the car a few day's. I'm just one that hate's stock. I personally think it sits to high. I have about 1.75 inches of wheel well space that I need to take care of. Anyone else running springs on their 4.2? what kind and what's the drop?
