Default Blackout grille for Audi A3

On that page is the "OEM blackout grille surround" for a normal or S-line A3 bumper. I've seen a picture or two of some A3's with this blackout trim peice installed, can someone post the picture?

How easy is it to install?

Remove ze front bumper, then release the grill clips from behind until the grill and surround come off. Then replace - about a 3 - 4 hour job. If you get one, I'll post you a link on bumper removal; a few of the fasteners are a bit hard to find.

Here's an interesting alternative that just showed up on Ebay;

I'm not too into carbon fiber... I'm not sure I really wanna get rid of that large chrome ring around the front of my car.

I was just interested in how long it might take... I'm not retarded when it comes to tools, etc. I work a little bit on dirt bikes and stuff, I'm familar with tools. I'm no gear head though, and anything above a beginner level is too much for me. Is it hard to replace? Any chance of seriously messing anything up?

The front bumper is fairly straight-forward to remove. All you need to do is remove all of the bolts and it slides right off. The biggest PITA for me was getting the front grill released.

This might be more of what you like:
