i dont think u would want to get a 2000

i hear they lotta problems, and they revised all that i 2001.5

look at the s tagging on the back of the 2000 s4, its like an old style, you dont want that one, u want the new style s tagging

2000 had lotta issues with the turbos and ****, the new tagging basically everything is revamped, turbos oil lines blah blah

Woooops! I think you're info is a bit off rs.

I have a 2000. I take care of the car; I have maintained the car per Audi schedule, changed oil every 3K, had all the recall issues done as soon as I was notified. I've never had any issues with the car - it has 75K miles.

In fact, here's the true breakdown between all of the B5 S4 years:
2000
Has (smaller) classic S4 badge.
Has an f-hose.
Has the Bosch MAF that may fail over time (Audi recall: newer Hitachi unit fixed this problem).
Has the A box ECU for manual 6 speed (considered to be the most aggressive of all the ECU boxes).
Does NOT have ESP.
Does NOT have larger turbo oil lines of the 2002.

2001
Has (smaller) classic S4 badge.
Has an f-hose.
Has the Hitachi MAF.
Has ESP.

2001.5
Has (larger "S") new S4 badge.
Does NOT have an f-hose.
Has the Hitachi MAF.
Has ESP.
Note S4 Avant arrived at this point, too.

2002
Has (larger "S") new S4 badge.
Does NOT have an f-hose.
Has the Hitachi MAF.
Has ESP.
Has larger turbo oil lines.
ECU box is considered most sophisticated than all others before (except 2000 A box is strongest in performance).
