Do all allroads have heated steering wheels with the cold weather package? (years 03/04?) I am just wondering because I am looking for one and really would like to have a heated steering wheel and some sellers advertise with a heated steering wheel and some don't. So I am wondering, since they don't have a button to turn it on, if some dealers just don't know if it has heated steering wheel or not... Or is there a code in the VIN or something like that how I can find out for sure??

if it has cold weather package it has it. Dealers just dont know about it.

I know, I know, but that is another good reason to convince my wife that we have to buy an allroad asap... I mean I guess as a trade off I'll be driving here MINI Cooper S in the winter... ;-)

 

Thanks, that's exactly what I thought. Because I read somewhere that Audi dropped the heated steering wheel option from the A6 in 2002, but then I ran across a few 04 Allroads which still seem to have it...

 

i have it on my 02 allroad

 

I may be incorrect, BUT
I believe that the heated wheel was not an option after '02 on the allroad (with the 2.7T. . .but is available with the 4.2 in '04-05)

i have a 01 AR and it has the heated wheel

 

I had an 01 allroad with heated steering.

first time i switched the heated seats on and felt it i thought i was dreaming, haha, came in so handy when i got out of the cold and unforgiving pacific ocean here in the pacific northwest.

before that i used to just start whatever rig i was driving and grab the engine block until it was too hot to warm my hands up, somedays it was just too damn cold out there, even with booties, and a 6-5 wetsuit.
