Default I guess its time... w/m

Well I don't have much else left to do so I might as well go ahead with the water/meth injection, the only thing that has me worried it my inability to do any kind of wiring [:@]. the base kit would be easy enough but I know the progressive kit is the way to go, so I have been thinking about just taking the car up to Apex tuning and having them install it. and I'm sure they could also do the necessary tuning along with the installation.

I see they are also a Unitronic dealer, but I don't know if its really worth it to switch from APR to Unitronic

not worth the sw switch.

You can get a devils own kit and make ita dual nozzle kit for really cheap. And a stg2 kit is always worth the money

ok well here is what I'm looking into, I talked to apex today and they do their tuning through the software, and apr appearently doesnt have the ability to adjust through its software. lemmingwinks is the only way and apex says the benefit doesnt really compare to adjusting via the chip software. So I'm just going to swap ECU's with my neighbor who has a 01, I was just wondering if this is possible to swap my 2002 with his 2001 ECU with no problems... I'm thinking yes but not sure... hope you see this post Nate.

I think you need to compare the codes on the ECU's.

If that doesn't work out I'd give you my 03 computer plus a few bucks for APR.

I really want to go with unitronics, but I'm trying not to spend the $

since you both are non vvt cars, it should work. ross-tech.com has info in what all you will need to do if they dont have exact ecu codes. Lemming winks makes changes over the entire rpms and if they do it through the sw, they can do it rpm specific.

cool, i guess we will have to take a look and see.... one other thing, asuming its a direct swap, is it going to cause problems in either car considering my ECU is adapted to all my mods and his is use to stock settings? i just dont want to take the chance of screwing up my car AND someone elses ya know

everything would be fine. The ecu will adjust fine. Just like it did after you got chipped.

haha... well I know you are ready to kill me but I have one last question . I see on ross-tech where it says about ecu swapping and redoing the immobilizer, is that only if the codes dont match on the ecu's or does it have to be done no matter what? because I see where you have to enter some "pin number" and I don't know how to go about getting that [>:]http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...I_ECU_Swapping
