I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out a little bit. I bought a Dual double din DVD player and i am going to get it next week.I would like to know what i would need to get in order to install it and if anyone knows how to install it, it would be a big help. i have a 2000 a6 4.2 with the Bose stock system in it right now. i don't want to change the speakers or anything just the head unit. thanks

 

not sure if you're going to be able to just change the head unit because i think the factory amps and speakers in these cars are a weird resistance, something low like 2 ohms or something strange like that. you might end up having to replace the entire stereo system, i could be wrong though, stereos are definitely not my strongest area.

 

You will be able to use the Bose speakers and amplifier with any aftermarket system. Though, you will have hard time to find the wiring harness. Get the bezel, the metra kit for AVIC-D3, to support the double din, and you are done. You might want to involve someone who has some experience of car audio installation. You are lucky if you have Symphony, and not if you have Concert.

Can you advise on where to locate the Bezel? It seems the prices are all over the map and some come with brackets, some not etc. I am looking for dual din for a 2003 A6...
