$1384 might be as cheap as your going to find unless you go used.

 

does 80k seems early for this type of failure?

 

is this a fairly straight forward DYI? i've never worked on an awd car? On a RWD BMW it would be fairly simple. If it more complexed on a awd car? audi specialty tools?</P>
