Default For those with aftermarket exhaust...

So I'm going to have a local shop custom make a dual pipe exhaust for me. And I was wondering how big your aftermarket exhaust tail pipes were. I was thinking 2.5" piping then just going straight out the back. A friend suggested that I just go to a single 3" outlet, but I think that is sort of tuner, and I like the stock dual outlet, I just want a bit bigger. So can anyone help me out on how big your aftermarket exhaust tips are?

definately go with the two dual (I have awe twin 1), I also think the single 3' is ricey and gay. You can either go 2.25' or 2.5', they are so close to the same. My thinking whether wrong or right scientific or not is thattwo 2.5' = 5' worth of room for exhaust to escape Vs. one 3', you get 2' more?!? hmmm

Go with 89mm tips. Like the ASP tru-dual. Perfect

How about these tips. They look just like the ASP tips, I think they'd fit just right.

i am a mellow driver, just wanted to get a little bit more of my stock exhaust. I bought the modestly priced Borla unit and I am well satisfied, I've had it for 5 years now.

What are everybody's thoughts on the Borla pipes?

In this world you get what you pay for.... If you do a custom job its not going to sound as nice as borla or awe or asp. Worth it to spend the extra bucks on something that is done right since s4 are worth it.
