Hello from Northern Cali.
Hi there. I have been looking at this site for a while now and just wanted to say hello. I just picked up my first audi. Its a 2001 S4 Blue with blue interior automatic and 88k miles. I paid to much for it but I am lucky that they were able to get me a loan at all (my credit sucks). I ended up paying 15k for before taxxes and all the crap. I have been looking at them for a while and know that I could have gotten something about the same for about 12 to 13k but I don't really care that much. I drove it home last night in the rain from SF and man o man. She is very quick and handles like a slot car.
I have been reading and using that search on the fourms and have decided that I will be doing a stage one upgrade. I know that I should change the chip on the ECU, the chip on the automatic, pipes and piggies, perhaps engine mounts, airfilter, TBB and the DV's. Can you guys think of anything else that would help out that isn't to outrageously costly. I am not doing it just for speed because I know if I do all these upgrades my lovely lady and keep off the pedal it might even help the mpgs! Any ways just wanted to say whats up and thanks in advantance for an information. Also please try to forgive my lack of knowledge as I am still learning.
Gkhan.

Welcome. The car sounds sweet. I have practically the same car, but dif tranny and more miles
. That price isnt all that bad, just maybe a bit more. But you did get the ultimate color combo, IMO. Your plans sounds good so far. I would do the maintainence things first, just to get them out of the way. And go with the 710N dv's, easier on the wallet. But enjoy!
