i have a neuspeed exhaust which a lot of people try to say bad thing about but its all stainless steel and it all bolts togther, includes the downpipe, has great gains and sounds awesome! if you are a younger guy and want a slightly louder exhaust, neuspeed is the way to go! great purr at idle, slightly loud from 2-3.5rpm but about 4k rpm it starts screaming! it sounds very euro, not ricey at all, i frequently get compliments on it, as well as the looks!

i heard someone had them for $749 shipped around christmas time on audizine

magnaflow 14816 with a deleted resonator, it sounds amazing. go onto youtube and search a little, you'll find a lot.

if you are going for performance, you will need magnaflow plus a full custom system... otherwise magnaflows will just give u more sound...

i met a friend from audizine here in memphis.. he had magnaflows and you could barely tell at idle (but you could tell.. but it was much tamer than mine when he got on it...

would recomend going to the local exhaust shop near you and ask them to price out a custom job for you. 2.75" all the way back will do you nice. should sound good and cost much less than most systems

the only problem with a custom system is you are going to have to cut it if you ever need to do your clutch or have tranny work! believe me, i know! luckily the neuspeed mid section unbolted quite easily...

... if your going for you own preffered sound than i suggest trying youtube.com and type in 1.8t exhaust or somthin like that and listen for what your lookin for, thats what i did and i like the remus i think, only found it on 1 3.0 and it was an automatic so[:@]

I love my Borla Exhaust setup.. I have Borla full cat-back exhaust with one resonator removed...

Sounds amazing. I need to get some videos up.:)

Also has good gains and supports a chip very nicely.

do you have a test pipe as well?

Check out awe. its full stainless..easy to install.
its a little more tame than some of the exhaust you hear on the 1.8 golfs but its a nice throaty sound. I really like it. No drone on the highway at all.

Second on the Neuspeed. Had heard everything from thermal Race to AWE to APR and Milltek. I like the APR sound. Milltek is too quiet for my tastes. I got Neuspeed off of group buy and couldn't be happier.
Here is video. I'm running larger turbo and test pipe, so keep that in mind. If you don't have subwoofers on your computer, don't bother. You won't get the right sound without them for any exhaust video.
