Thinking about getting an HID kit with a normal halogen housing, will this be a bad idea or should I go for it?

Thanks in advance

 first off It depends on how much money you want to spend. Alot of people will tell you its a bad idea because of the glare most kits give off in halogen housings. If you can get a kit kit with a rebased d2r bulb then you should be fine because those bulbs are made for relector housings. This is what nissan and lexus ect. did, the housings are the same for both hal.and hid models just differnt bulb (d2r) electronics ect. also I heard if you dont get a relay for it too the kit will throw a code and your lights won't work at all. Now if money is not a problem just get the factory hid setup its expensive but its the best bet. Personally I'm ging with first option, I think it looks a little more high class since every one has the d2s aftermarket kits, and custom prjector setup that could run you $1500+ my option is about 350 + or -. You don't get the same throw because the lights aren't as intense as d2s bulbs but they have a nice smooth soft spred on them, kinda cool :D

you would need that plus a balast kit
forgot to tell you that you would not have high beams if you go my route
