View Full Version : For the first 4 months the B8 will only come FWD Karl 02-12-2008, 03:18 AM No Quattro[:@] for the first 4 months.. sad huh? kolbs_91 02-12-2008, 03:30 AM Meh...better hold off on winning the lottery a little longer, I guess.[&:] Karl 02-12-2008, 04:03 AM yeah, i wouldnt mind picking one up.. but still in love with the B6 HokieB8A4 02-12-2008, 12:45 PM IMO I would never own an audi without quattro. A sports car should be either rearwheel drive or AWD if you want a car that is usable unless the road conditions necesitate a lifted vehicle or a snow plow. socaljoe 02-12-2008, 05:50 PM Hmmm...I guess they don't want to make any sales the 1st 4 months....what the hell are they thinking jsgrabo 02-13-2008, 05:05 PM no quattro?[sm=lame.gif] incrementalg 02-15-2008, 08:52 PM Is that confirmed? Why would Audi keep their bread and butter off the streets? The test models in MT and Car and Driver were fitted with Quattro, so it doesn't sound like any drivetrain issues to be worked out. HokieB8A4 02-16-2008, 01:20 AM I read on MT that the first cars to come over would be quattro 3.2 with DSGs then the 2.0T with manual and dsg and quattro options I wish they would give us a 2.0T that we could chip to be like 275 horse and 300+ Torque kolbs_91 02-17-2008, 12:13 AM I honestly didn't like the design that much until I saw it in person this weekend... http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6748/dsc01950kr7.jpg http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/6411/dsc01951qd8.jpg bronxblaza117 02-21-2008, 09:44 AM no more dual exhaust? Trey25 02-22-2008, 04:58 AM Yea we, US, get dual exhausts. I can't wait till the NY show. Rumour has it thats when they'll debut the S4 and S Line. Just wish they could send over the TDIs Mooseimage 03-26-2008, 01:02 AM Audi w/o Quattro, not in my book. And is it just me, or are all car manufacturers using the same style for the back of their cars. At least in picture: lexus, toyota, bmw, honda, audi, they look the same!!! Soon, we might end up with cars that look exactly the same, just with different badges! That will be a sad day... AllMine 04-22-2008, 03:53 PM Hi all!! I was at the NY Car show here is 2 pics of the 09 Audi A4. Not the clearest but take a look.... http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm261/Emiesdad/P3280023.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm261/Emiesdad/P3280025.jpg vashee 05-10-2008, 08:52 PM I definitely like the b8s styiling. I agree, the back does remind me that of the 335 coupe. Either way, I'd love to have one. Ibis S 05-12-2008, 01:10 PM I just bought a B8 A4, quattro. and I love it. Marek K 05-12-2008, 02:00 PM B8? Or 1998? Because I don't think you can have both in Pasadena... :) Matori1.8t 05-19-2008, 02:49 PM Good looking car.. Europe is full of them... Sublime865 05-23-2008, 03:49 AM Yeah, FWD has NO PLACE in ANY performance vehicle. think of where your car throws it's weight when you mash the right pedal... As I saw in anothers sig (forgot who): "An Audi without Quattro is just a VDub"... Mooseimage - Atleast they dont look like Ford Fuckus's (look at the Scooby WRX STI for the last 2 years, its horrible, front and back looks like a Ford Fuckus). Actually ALL the Impreza's do. Thank God though, because if they didn't look like ass I might have bought one and not gotten my Audi. I almost bought a brand new Impreza (and after the $5k "clutch" from the asshats at the stealership 2 months later, I really miss the thought of having any form of warranty...). I wouldn't mind a B8, but I'm waiting for my dream car. I get it in about half an hour when I get out of work, its parked out in the parking lot... I like the looks of the B7, but not as many mods as my B6, so for now, that remains my dream car. I just wish for one more gear... cursed 5speed... sprint2theline 06-07-2008, 06:05 PM I have new A4's coming in both Quattro and FWD. The info you were given is incorrect. I just spent the week at infineon driving the new A4's against their competition. I can say this for sure.... AUDI IS BETTER THAN THEIR DIRECT COMPETITORS FROM EVERY ANGLE. Pat Collier Tucson kent9272 06-08-2008, 05:24 AM My sales manager just got back from SF this week, he had a chance to take the new 09 on the track and said it was wicked fast and very nice. He also said they (one of the car magazine) did a comparison against the 328i and the new 09 beat it by a whooping 6 secs on the track. We expect to get ours in by late September possibly sooner if the current A4s are sold out. Sticman 06-19-2008, 11:12 AM ORIGINAL: Redgoatâ„¢ No Quattro[:@] for the first 4 months.. sad huh? Actually, the exact opposite is true. The first versions coming to the US are ONLY Quattros (with automatics). I've been provided with the order guide from a dealer. I can post if you want. coprmtn007 07-07-2008, 07:27 PM ORIGINAL: kent9272 My sales manager just got back from SF this week, he had a chance to take the new 09 on the track and said it was wicked fast and very nice. It's supposed to be lighter too 2009A4Quatro 07-19-2008, 04:55 PM Hi, that is not what our Audi guy is telling us in Houston. He told me that there will only be Quatro to start with and it will be the only mode on the Avant. I hope he is right but who knows for sure. kent9272 08-03-2008, 04:13 PM We're getting a good mix of 09 A4 at the end of August. If you live in the DC area and are interested in getting one, please come see me. tu.huynh@audiofalexandria.com |
