Ok, I just bought a 2005 A4 and was looking into upgrading the exhaust. I have read several differnet post with some good info but I still have questions being this is my first Audi. I was looking at several options all which where more than I am use to spending on exhaust and then I read a post about a magnaflow system, well I have looked into it and there are two















Ok so i found both of these exhaust for about 750.00 and have read people have gotten them as low as 550. I wondering what the difference in the two are, I can tell that center piece's are different but what is the difference. Secondly is this an exhuast worth purchasing or should I shell out the 1000 that most of the others seem to cost. If I can get a system for considerably less but functions just as well why shouldn't I. I know I dont want it to sound like a civic, so any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Oh and by the way Thanks in advance and I AM TOTALY IN LOVE WITH MY AUDI AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING DRIVING REAL WHEEL DRIVE SPORTS CARS BEFORE THIS!!!! LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!

From the picture you can see they have different kind of mufflers. And it doesnt say what is the diameter ofthe pipes they use.

Sometimes with that magnaflow kit I think your paying for the name.It's a nice direct bolt on kit ifyour gonna swap it out in your garage but if your going to have a shop do the labor. ThenI would suggest to pick up some mufflers of your choice and have some custom piping work done.

kwik_shift, actually Magnaflow exhausts are pretty cheap comparing to some other brands.
And i might say +1 for the custom setup, but u know it is a little bit more time + you dont really know unitl the end what u gonna get.

 

i myself went with a custom setup...i took it a muffler shop and had them go straight pipe and removed the center resonator,and went with to magnaflow mufflers and sum nice round thick exhaust tips... i ended up paying i believe $500 cash with parts & labor...it took a good 5k miles for it to get the nice low end deep sound that i wanted it to get...at first i wasnt all that impressed and im happy with my setup...

 

Neuspeed:

All stainless
bolt together (no clamps or slide together bullshit)
includes downpipe
great performance gains and sound
someone has it for $749 shipped new
