Default timimng belt replacement

Anyone in New Jersey know of a reputable shop to get this done. I spoke with my mechanic yesterday when I brought my car to his shop to use his lift. He happens to be a really good friend of mine and I was asking him what would he charge to do my timing belt and he looked at me and laughed. I mreally just don't feel like doing it myself but if it comes down to it I probably will. Any good shops around that would be great I've been screwed over by mechanics before.

Yup, I work for Schering Plough. It is just behind SP, just out the back gate. They do a lot of business with Porsches, Audi and VW. They did good work for me, but they are pricey (about 90/hr). They will allow you to bring in your own parts.

Now I just need to remember their name.

If you are doing the timing belt make sure you get the ECS kit and get the front oil seals (3). Might as well do them at the same time.

You may also consider a snub mount as they are already in there. Word of warning, the snub mount can lead to some severe vibration problems with a tiptronic.

It can lead to vibration problems with a 5 spd too, cant it? Or is it just not as severe, or easier to remedy?
