Default just got an s4

hey guys i'm brand new to the audi world and i just got an s4.... just wanted to say hey to everyone on the forums. I also have a question about a problem on my car. When i am braking and i am under about 10 miles an hour, the abs kicks in. It doesn't happen when I slowly brake only when i push on it with moderate to hard pressure. I was told it was the abs sensor. Can anyone confirm this to be true?

Yeah that would be it... it's probably dirty. My A4 had that problem as well but I never got around to fixing it.

if it is the sensor i'm thinking about, it's quite litterly a 5 minute job with an metric allen tool, remove old one, disconnect quick disconnect and rock on. You may want to disconnect and clean up the connector, perhaps it is corroded or dirty and that is the problem. The sensor that I'm thinking ofis located behind the rotor, and counts or watches the notches in the hub...

my sensor has been removed, debating on putting it back in, as for I'm not sure I want ABS, but anyways, here is a picture.

I'm a personal fan of usingbrake clean myself to clean most everything, try that along with a rag and wire brush perhaps, but don't go to crazy. Throw up a pic too, we always love to see another S4.

alright cool guys thanks for all the help and the warm welcome... I am going to try the brake cleaner/rag combo on it and see if that works out the problem.... In response to your post sweeds4, it's a silver b5 and i don't have pics yet cuz it's snowing like hell out here... there's no mods on it now but i plan on buying an ARP chip... what do you guys think?
