I have recently purchased a 1993 Audi 100. Several of the dash lights are out and the temperature indicator is so dim that it canbarely beseen. Are there any special ways to get at the lights? Does the dash have to come out? Any advice on these procedures and also where can these bulbs be purchased at a reasonable price.

bulbs are european and can be purchased from most auto stores or if your desperate from a dealer. Also try on line.

Thats the easy part. And yes, the head unit needs to be pulled inorder to get at the bulb holders that have that special german design. Looks like a lot of wires but they are all keyed plugs that even a moron like me can't confuse. Good luck

To get the temperature to glow a little more, did you try twisting the little black knob in front of the tach(i think). I know it is one of the two knobs (like the one to reset the trip odometer).
