Default s6 led's on s4 bumper

well, since i hacked the a4 bumper i am going to do an s4/rs4.... whichever i can find bumper......

but my question is..... can i just cut and splice the fog wires to make them work with the ikea led's?

or has someone done this before, i know there was a thread about it a while back, but that guy had both led's and fogs and the led's were wired off a switch

They are more for show because they are not high output leds like the rs has. The regular fogs work a lot better.

As far as cutting and splicing I see no reason why it wont work.

i was the one who did the ikea led fogs. Yeah the light output was quite weak, but it looked pretty damn cool. You can run both if you want, that's what I did. Just run an independant switch for the LEDs. I used those as DTRLs and also in the city and stuff. When I needed actual light, I'd turn off the LEDs and just run the normal fogs.

Since the Ikea fogs are very small and easy to hide, you should be able to mount them anywhere on the S4 bumper.

If you want the look and the light, suck it up and buy the real S6 LED fogs for $300.

im gunna pass on the $300 lights, im goin to ikea.but that leads me to another question, where can i find good fog lights that arent that visable when their off? and i probably need to mount them onto a fiberglass bumper.

maybe I'm crazy but I think the non-functional led idea is a tad ricey

you might not want to get the led's from ikea. i had mine for around 4 months and now one of the bars light are completely our and another bar has 3 leds out. it might have been water damage but it probably was not, just the shock from bumps everywhere.

and i do agree with FACT, that they could look ricey. i think they look really good when you have HIDS or really white lights, but if you have the stock 2 piece lights that are a little yellow, then it looks garbage, but im sure you will be alright with a 99.5 and all.

i had to take mine out because some led's broke on me and i have yellow headlights, but they look good in the dark.
