I got the same form in the mail today. But since I recently purchased the car. I have no idea. if previous owner ever filed a lawsuit/changed out the cluster. My cluster has the same broken led's that everyone else is having a problem with. Should I go ahead and fill out the form to send in? Even though I never filed a complaint before?
Edited: I just called Audi dealer. Was advised that there is now an extended warranty issued for the intstrument cluster. All you have to do is bring the car into an Audi dealer and they will change it out. I made an appointment to have it looked at 2morrow. Will update the results at that time. Also here is the reference# to give to the dealer concerning this extended warranty 8WA-08-05.

The settlement is for 6 years from the date placed in service. Options are, do nothing (not file a claim) and if your car has been in service less than six years and develops problems within the six year window...free dealer fix.
Second option...file a claim if you had out-of-pocket expenses to repair/replace it within the six year service window.
No claims or replacements will be honored if done after 4/2/08.
My luck, the car was placed in service just over six years ago...S.O.L. The upside is, I haven't had cluster problems yet...now I just cursed it.damn
