Will a S4 transmission (tiptronic) fit the A4 1.8t ?

cuz my tiptronic tranny is fubar'd and i have a chance to pick one up...

lol.. yea Hopefully someone can answer me tonight :] I already rebuilt my a4 tranny and not going that way again..

If it does fit will i need the s4 trq converter as well..

I'd call 034, I think they make an adapter/or sumpin like that,
from what I remember it is not a direct bolt on, but my guess yould be that you will also need the tcu,

I am not sure, but I am guessing that the tiptronic S4 is still a 6 speed, I am not sure how are ecu';s will deal with that

ok no don't try to chop your car up for manual thats a bad idea there is a lot of work involved in that...I mean a LOT.
