Assuming you have a 2.0t with FWD then this should be the right kit:

Just a good set of Allen wrenches or a nice set of hex bits will get you through the change.

The old plugs are allens but the new ones ECS sent are very unique inside 12 point with a large stud in the middle

The large stud in the middle is the magnetic feature to have metal particles stick to is so they don't flow around in your transmission. If the size doesn't fit - let them know and they will make sure you get the correct part. If only the head is different (but thread wise it will work) you can with the correct hex bit get it screwed in an tight - just don't over-tighten it or it will bend/deform the head. Unfortunately since it is an aftermarket bolt (and a good one I think) - there is always a chance you end up with a different bit requirement.

FYI: Sooner or later if you continue to work on your car you will have more and more of those 12 point bolts anyway, so you could just get a set of them now and get this screwed in correctly.

Ordered the socket Turned out the plugs ECS sent were the wrong size so I put the old ones back in and will redo them if ECS sends right size out of 3 liters I used 2-1/4. They sent me the o.e oil. It's the thinnest gear oil I've seen. Thanks again

ECS has always been good with customer service (at least to me). I'm also glad you picked the OEM kit as the gear oil is very specific for VW/Audi's transmission and you really don't want to run anything else because you will regret in most cases. Some people reported after using some other after market stuff that they could not get the first or 2nd gear in in cold weather and only once the engine had warmed up :P

Glad that for the most part it worked out for you - happy driving.
