Hi all,
I have an Audi A3 2006 2.0T which turned 62k miles. Just recently I noticed a wrench symbols appears on the odometer when I turn on the car and it dissapears after 5 or 10 seconds. The mileage flashes and gives me the wrench symbol and 2600. Im afraid this is related with some type of maintenance but Im not sure. Anyone have seen this symbol before?
If its maintenance, its all about changing the oil and resetting the warning or it involves more than that? How do I reset the warning. I know there are many questions in one thread but I would appreciate if at leaast I get some answers. Thanks all

 

I've never seen the wrench symbol. Have you looked in the Owner's manual? You'll find the instructions there to reset the service interval, if that's what it is.

 

I will look into the service interval reset, but I dont think that will be anywhere in the manual. Usually this vehicles are designed to make you dealer dependant adn you have to go to them to be cleared off. But Im sure someone knows how to clear it without having to visit the dealership. But thanks for your time

 

It should display the milage before a service is due. If you did the service and the indicator was not reset it's in the handbook. Page 17 in my 2007. It's a bit confusing. Search this forum and you will find a better explanation.

After trying a few suggestions from a few internet links (with no success), I finally found something that worked. Yeah! Hope this helps someone else out there.


switch ignition on (do not start) pul and hold right buttun ( display show how many km over before oil service ) let go pul again and hold after a few seconds it wil clear
