Hi, New to the forum and need help!!!
I have an Audi A3 2ltr. FSI, engine code AXW. The dash lights work but nothing else- speedo, revs, wipers, heater, etc don't, I have changed the dash and still the same. The engine runs fine but is in limp mode and will not go above 3000 revs. I get fault codes- Bank1 camshaft adjustment-n205, short with ground, P1527 lower limit reached (17935). Taken it to my local garage who could not fix it. There is a type of ecu near the windscreen wipers that looked damaged so I removed it and sent it off to get checked, it was faulty and was fixed but the problem was still the same. I am at my witts end at moment any help I would appreciate. Thanks,

Looks like I have every one else stummped too, this one is difficult.

 

Sounds like an earth connection fault.
I would start unbolting and cleaning the various earths in the engine bay and plenum area.
Look behind the headlights too. Sounds like as you have various faults, it could well be a common earth that supplies these circuits. Good luck.

 

Thanks for your reply, I have changed a full lock set ( all multifunction control modules that are coded) and now all works ok. but did not find the culprit (shame).
