Burning Oil 2007 Audi A3
Hi,
I just got an 2007 Audi A3 whit 49500 miles, and the second week I got it start saying it had min oil, so I went to the dealer and they said everything was fine, that it was normal bcuz of the 2.0 turbo, so I drove it and 4 days later I had NO OIL IT ALL...so I call back and they said again that everything was fine, any ways I did the service and after 3000 miles it consume 1/4 of oil and now after 1500 miles has no oil again, is this really normal?? my warranty expired so I dont know what to do...THANKS!!!!

I've the 2.0TFSI A3 and I use about a 1/2 pint every 1000 - 1500km and dealers say that normal due to the turbo. When they had it in for a service did they not report any leaks? Or did they at least check?

Mine with about 44,000 miles burns a US quart every 3000 miles. I have no leaks. And yes 4 cyl turbos that are driven hard use a lot of oil. Abuse them and it's worse. The dealer will tell you it's normal as the solution is expensive, ie a new motor.
