Never heard of that chip, any specific reason you prefer it over APR / REVO?

Hi brascal44,

Certainly read up on all the software choices available! The ones FusionX mentioned are popular and well-respected. I use superchips on my TDI, mainly because that is the software the tuner shop near me uses. Convenience to get the car reflashed should be a priority in my opinion, as I have needed to get the car reflashed twice after my dealer erased the software performing other maintenance tasks. My new car that I'm getting is chipped with ABT software and installed by Audi Taiwan without any consequences to my warranty.

As for your warranty, I and others have written a fair amount about it. The short answer is...yes...it voids your warranty on parts related to the modification you made. Some dealers, however, will look the other way, some will not. Try to research your local dealer...but ask around...don't ask them!

My two bits. I purchased an ECU programmer for my current car, whereby I could return the ECU to the factory settings in my garagebefore visiting the dealer. I can also get free software upgrades through the internet. I purchased the same programmer for my on order A3. The only problem with this sytem is price, at about $300 more than APR.

dj- my cars auto/dsg

brascal44- drive like a grandma Chips will improve your freeway gas mileage but reduce your city mileage. So if your a freeway commuter I guess the chip can help you out on gas mileage there.
