Hi guys having a bit of a problem with my 2007 1.6 A3.
Few days a go the emissions control system warning light came on and then short time later the car stalled whilst stationary and the struggled to start again, then the electronic stabilisation program (ESP) light came on and the car was in limp mode. Same thing happened the day after so called a mobile mechanic who plugged his computer in and said was a faulty engine speed sensor.
Next day went to garage to get it done. They said the sensor was just loose so tightened it and everything was fine, they also cleared the fault codes.
Few days later and the same thing has happened again, and the error code is again saying faulty engine speed sensor but they didn't want to really change the sensor without knowing exactly if it was that causing it. They said to go direct to Audi but that sounds expensive.
Any one got any ideas what it could be?

I had a similar issue a while back, brought the car to an Audi dealer and they replced the Camshaft sensor. The fault did not return.

According to me, if you are facing any kind of problem regarding faulty engine speed sensor in your car then you should immediately contact to an Audi dealer as they can fix their problem very easily and quickly.

 

that's right it will cost you unnecessary if the problem does not get solved after changing the speed sensor. it's advisable to visit the authorized dealer.
