Limp Mode / Boost Problem Please Help
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and from South Africa.
I'm hoping someone can help me with this strange problem:
I own an Audi A3 1.8T 2000 model. Lately the car has been going into limp mode. I discovered a leaking boost pipe which I've fixed but the problem still persists. Now comes the weired part...
If I remove the litlle pipe from the silver thingy at the back of the engine (i have no idea what it's called) , boost returns to normal and the power is back. However, the car becomes really heavy on fuel. This pipe, I believe is connected to the N75. I have checked for faults but nothing comes up.
Can someone please help with this problem
What is the purpose of this pipe? is the N75 on my car damaged? Is it dangerous driving with this pipe off?
Please see link below for picture of the pipe in question
Thanks in advance
