Default rear fender proyect 19"

boys : got my staggered rims installed yesterday...... i got this tires just to have a temporary same look front/rear
for now im using:

front ..... 19 x 8.5 = 225 / 35 / 19 (next proper tire= 235 / 35 / 19)
rear ...... 19 x 9.5 = 245 / 35 / 19 (next proper tire= 265 / 35 / 19)

i wanna do some bodywork on the back fenders = wider enough to fix the proper tire size listen above

anyone from this forum done som' like that ?

i've seen pictures on the web mostly 99.9 % european photos and of course "the fortitude proyect audi a3 "

but am i gettin into a messed up proyect ???? ive seen the rims coming out of those tires on that A3 which i dont like at all

Ben (HPA 3.2 3 door) did the Osir front fender, andBrian aka Project A3 did the one you saw which is from Nothelle. Neither one can be DIY, unless you have some serious training and equipment for body work.

The cheapest way would be to "roll your fenders." They use this tool that basically just stretches out the fender a little to make them wider for bigger wheels. Some wheel shops actually provide this service, so do a search. I know someone who got this service for $50 after purchasing a set of wheels.

What i did when i had the 19 x 8.5 axis 225 35 19 was take the wheel off and cut out the felt material on the inside of the wheel well where i thought the wheel rubbed the most right at 12 oclock position a section about 6-8 inches.
That should get rid of some of the rubbing.

After a while i got sooo tired of the rough ride and rubbing that comes with the 19' wheel, and changed toBBS rgr forged 18x8 no spacers in the frt and only 4 mm spacers for the rear, and now she's rides perfect. Good luck see you at the show.

Becareful with rolling your fenders because, it also comes with cracking the paint job, just be prepaired if you go that route.

Also if ever when you and you friends go out 3 or 4 of you, dont drive your car havethem drive because you'll really rub hard with weight in the back.

i know is gonna be more $$ chin chin $$ but thats what i would like to do....... to be able to roll nice without rubbin on a 19 x 9.5 rear....i dont have a problem at all in the front with the 19x8.5
i dont wanna buy another downgraded size..... plus i think it will look very nice if i can finally get that done...... the rear fender work and get it repainted....but im very impressed with my tires....i thought it was gonna be a very rough ride like u said in a previous threat..... and u recommend 18 to be safe and i totally support that but now that i have the 19" installed...for some reason it rides very very nice for what i thought to be a very horrible ride...
the only issue is the rubbin of the 245/35/19...... also another thing.... if i do the right size 265/30/19 with rolld out fenders....i think that 30 profile will do the job..for the small profile fact..... dont you think ? im tellin ya..... i look forward to see those guys at german motoring....... maybe they have the talent..... it sims like they do.....

While rolling they normally use a heat gun or hot drier to heat up the paint so they won't chip or crack. Hope you just understood that, I'm not good at explaining technical things
i just read this quote on a body shop page forum........... that makes it more easy..... and less $$$
