Hi All,

As a new member I was looking for some help I've got a 2001 A3 1.9tdi 110bhp. Some times normally when I accleate from 50-60 upto 80 in 5th gear to overtake the turbo cuts out. I dont get any warning lights on and the Enigne keeps on running and drives. Assoon as I turn the engine off and back on stright away it seems to wipe the problem till I do it again. If I drive it hard all the way though the gears it goes like well. I've had it plugged into a diagnostics and it comes up with: Turbocharger pressure control limit exceeded. But the garage carn't find anything wrong with it.

Any idea's would be great

The turbo cuts out due to excessive boost pressure as indicated.The most obvious place to look is to see if the small rubber tube that connects to your wastegate is not disconnected!

 

your ecu is probably going in to limp mode id check your vac lines to wastegate and boost controler
