Default 1.8t FWD Misfiring ??? rough Idle??

Hey guys, i'm new to this.
but i've had my 2003 A4 since October of '06 and i've had a lot of problems..
i love tha car tho, very much.
so far i've replaced the entire dashboard, rear passenger window, headlight washer cap, tires.
and i need to replace my brakes, i've already purchased them, but just haven't put them on.

and about 2 days ago, my "check engine light" came on, and i'm pretty sure its Misfiring, i'm haveing a rough idle as well.

any ideas? i'm not sure what tha problem is..
apparently my car has already had the fuel pump recall...

help if you can!
thanks guys!

If the CEL is flashing its a misfire. Go to autozone and have them scan your ecu for fault codes. Post em up. Probably a bad coil pack though.

yea, after i went and got a fresh tank of gas, and put some "fuel injector cleaner" in tha tank, thats where i headed.
they told me all four cylinders were misfiring, but for some reason tha tech was having issues reading his equipment, and wasn't able to give me tha codes..

i read about a possible bad coil.. is that common ?

pretty obvious realy your tech don't have the gear to find the fault ( misfire on 1-2-3-4 ) = multiple misfire code P0300so probable cause is bad to the coil packs

Helps if you mention what engine type you have. Go to a different Autozone. You will get at least 2 fault codes with a misfire. Youll always get a "random/multiple misfire" fault code along with the specific cylinder(s) that are missing fault code(s).

Default misfire?

Hey. Did you get your fault sorted? my A3 is having similar problems, (lumpy tickover, stalling when idling and missing on acceleration. No fault codes are registering. Any suggestions please?

Default Stalling rough idle.........

Replaced coils 3 times on A4 2006. That was the problem every time.
