2008 A4 2.0T S-Line - 2 Questions
Hi,
Prior to making this, my first post, to the forums, I'd searched for some information on my two questions. I found some information pertaining to one of the questions but not the other. My first question is, which oil should I be using in my car? The owner's manual says VW 502 00 SAE 5W40 is recommended. I found lots of SAE 5W40 brands online, but I couldn't find specific information on whether or not they met the VW 502 00 specification, so I searched the forums and found a link to an Audi-issued technical services bulletin (http://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/a...e-Bulletin.pdf) from a couple of years ago. I've searched for a few of the recommended oils, but the names I come up w/ aren't the same as what's on this document. I'm thinking that maybe some of these oils are no longer in production and have had their names updated? For instance, the Castrol ZVW 352 540 comes up as Castrol Edge now in the searches I've performed. I was hoping that someone might provide either an updated list or a few specific suggestions as to the oil I should buy.
The other question I have is in regard to my headlights. I've only had the car a short time, and I'm experiencing this issue, where the headlights are not terribly bright, nor do they extend very far. In fact, the left headlight goes a shorter distance than the right. I would say that the left headlight goes about 30 feet in front of the car, while the right goes about 40. In addition, they both seemed to be angled downward more so than would be normal. I had the dealer, where I purchased the car, check this out, and they said that everything is in working order. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
Thank you. I look forward to your responses.

On your oil question I searched the Mobil site to see what one to use (Mobil 1 0-40 Full synthetic). I choose Mobil 1 as I am able to find it about anywhere. Would imagine you could check other sites for different brands.
On the headlights I will have to check mine, but I think the right (passenger) light does extend further. This is to allow for increased lighting range without blinding oncomng traffic.
