Hmmm never thought about the throttle body adaptation...i just tried to jump the car and no luck, the car doesn't start. Now what should I do, get it towed somewhere that can fix my flex pipe and hope that it starts or go somewhere where they can take care of the starting problem?

what other shops deal with throttle body adaptation besides the dealer? I'm in nyc.

 

Your car has fuel injection, do not pump the gas while starting it.

 

I just pushed the car and tried to start it and it worked! Bought a flex section from ecs tuning and got meineke to weld it for me $50, car is sounding great! Thanks for all your help guys.

I took my car to get read for fault codes at Autozone but they said they can only do it if the car has the check engine light on...the only light i have on is the air bag sensor. Any where else that would be able to tell me whats wrong for free?

 

Autozone lies, they can scan it for codes regardless of the light being on or not. Ask to borrow the tool and do it yourself.

 

bond316, where do you live? up north we constantly had a problem w/a build up of "slime" (for lack of a better word) around the battery terminals after letting them sit. cars wouldn't start, but lights and such came on. there just wasn't enough juice to kick the engine, but lights take little power. this build up also made jumping next to impossible, cause it was on the wire connections, not just the posts. easiest, first step in a starting prob, is pulling the connections and cleaning them all. autoparts stores sell a tool just for this. its cheap, and will last forever. mines 15 yrs old.

 

So I took it to a different autozone they hooked it up and it said test passed no codes...I told him to try it again and he did and still same outcome. How can this be possible though? Was the scan not communicating with the air bag module?
