A4 2010 steering clunk only when used a lot and warmed up
Hi all,
I recently bought a 2010 A4 with 110k km on it and discovered a strange issue.
Steering makes a clicking noise and you can feel the feedback on the steering wheel when turning left or right, even when static. However, this only happens when the car is warmed up and it's being driven in the city (with a lot of use of the wheel). The noise gets progressively worse the longer I drive.
When I first started driving there is no noise. I didn't take it to the dealer yet as I'm trying to avoid paying hand over fist for diagnostics...
Any ideas?
I will take it now to change the steering fluid, to see if that will help.
