RE: A4 Steering Wheel Controls
its not even close to a manual
u cant stall and the car will shift when u red line
it will never let u under shift or over shift
soon u will realize how slow shifting is on that tranny
its still an auto matic

hey dezithug,
enjoy your new discovery about tiptronic.
i have an 02 a4 with tiptronic and absolutely love it.
a lot of people will rail on us for not having a manual, but honestly the tiptronic is really fun and more than responsive enough for me.
tiptronic is really convenient though, because if you live in high traffic areas, like new york, as i do, it is priceless to be able to shift between auto and tiptronic.
there is also something now called dsg (a more responsive version of "semi-manual" like tiptronic) i see little reason i would ever want to hassle with a manual transmission in my daily driving car.
enjoy your audi man. these cars are fun as hell to drive.
