RE: A4 Steering Wheel Controls
hey I have a 2002 audi a4 1.8 turbo and I also have a tiptronic transmission. I just bought this car and i think there was like some kind of drink spilled intio the shifter. And now when i slide the shifter to the right to engage the tiptronic mode it doesnt respond. In my cluster where you would see what gear you are in it doesnt show numbers it still shows P, R, N, D where it should show the number 1-6 as I used to see it did I blow a fuse or somethin??? Please help

If you want some answers, don't bring back a 2 year old thread. By the time we realize it, we leave before we get to the question.
But, welcome to the forum.
It sounds like your car is not sensing that it is being shifted into tiptronic mode. The usual cause of this is that the magnets that trigger the sensor in the gear shift have moved or fallen. Run a search as this is a fairly common problem and usually a pretty cheap fix.
