Audi A4 2.0T Quatro Transmission Jerky
Hey gang, new member here,
I have an A4 2006 2.0T Quatro with Automatic/Triptronic Transmission.
My car was bought practically new 5,000 miles, I have 100,000 Miles, and I have kept up with all issues/maintenance service schedules, synthetic oils, new timing belt, the whole nine yards.
Recently my cars shifts UP/DOWN hard, especially on the following gear changes.
2-3, 3-4(Little Bit), 4-5, 5-6 and Downshifts harsh as well on the following combinations
6-5, 5-4, 4-3, 3-2
I decided to take it to a Very experienced mechanic dealing with German cars, apparently he cannot diagnose it, There is no Check engine light on the car,
He checked software and solenoids, and his suspicion is that it is mechanical.
He mentioned that the car does not slip no idea what that is.
He reccomended I should go to a special guy dealing with transmissions.
I have 2 questions
1) What is the worst case I should expect to deal with as well as Rough Order Magnitude Dollar values for a transmission rebuilt.
2) If Others had similar issues, and if so what was the solution and the dollars associated with it.
I appreciate your help on this matter.

crj3545. Thanks for your reply. Based on your knowledge what do you think the cost of such operation would go for? Thanks a lot
