Default BLEEDING- OVERHEATING?

Hi,
I am new to the Audis, I a BMW E36 M3 owner... But I am helping out a buddy with his 1996 A4 2.8. quattro

It seems He decided to do a coolant flush, and refil with a "safe for all alumnium" engines coolant. YES, I know about the G12..... Thats another story.

But the problem is that after he flushed it then refilled it, The motor now overheats. after just 10-15 min of driving. From my experence, on previous porsches/BMW's I have owned the germans like to place bleeder screws in strange places. I did a search, but got a couple dead links. Do you guys Have a DIY link for complete flush and refill, and bleeding? It would be great!

Any toher tips would help to.
Thank you.

hello everyone!, i have a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 Q and just yesterday it started to run a little hot but not overheating, its about 3/4 or just under while driving and will not go any hotter.. i just had the water pump, belts, pulleys, Anti-frez replaced, a year ago i was told it might be the Thermostat going? does anyone have any ideas in what could cause this to happen?

Hopefully they replaced the thermostat when they did the water pump, didn't they?

If you weren't having problems with overheating before, take it to the shot that did the belt and get them to fix it.

Is your fan working?

If they did replace the thermostat, did they put it in backward?
