Default A4 quattro poor control/traction

Since the middle of the winter my Audi has been handling very poorly in the snow and even rain. I have four tires with more than half of the traction left (only about 20K on them), I have all new control arms and tie rods on the front and new wheel bearings on the rear as well as a new balance and alignment as of yesterday. Still, when I hit a patch of snow the back end shoots out to the side, its really dangerous but I can't figure out what it could be.

Sway bars?
Suspension?
tire brand/type?
my all wheel drive?

Any ideas?

what kind of tires do you have, if you have summer tires that is what happens, you should have at least all seasons of winter tires.

They are all seasons Kumho's 716 205/55/16's.

Also, prior to getting these tires, my last set of rears had major wear on the insides of them? I'm not sure if that matters or not.

try the alignment, your camber might be out, if your tires only wear on the inside or the outside it's either you camber or too much air or too little air in your tires.

I just got the alignment two days ago hoping it would help but this morning the car did it again, I have to admit it wasn't as bad but it did do it.

Could it be my sway bar?

i don't think so, your sway bar is mainly keeping body roll down, how fast are you going in the snow, if your loaded you can go buy some winter tires instead of all seasons, but if you can't afford it slow down i guess, i live in cali so i can't give you a better answer. i have summer tires all year round and have no problem in the rain and i know you can't compare rain to snow.

Well getting four new tires isn't going to happen since its April and even though we got snow today, it will be the last of the year I'm sure. Nothing else you think would cause this to happen? Its strange for sure.

check the those tire ratings here: www.tirerack.com . I would be willing to bet they have low or no snow traction rating.

just because they are all seasons doesn;t mean they are any good in the snow.
I had Kumho Ecsta ECS all seasons and they weren't worth a damn.
