Default Car Stalled, Check Engine Light On.... Not Sure Why

Im... new to this audi world... just got a 1998 audi A4 1.8T with 69k miles on it...
Today i mistakenly put about 3.5 gallons of regular gas in the car by mistake...
then i put another 6.5 gallons of premium gas... I turned my car on then drove in the highway for about
20 miles and then while trying to move up hill i stalled (new to stick shifting)
Then when i turned my car back on the check engine light when on again... and it has been even since... (about 5 hours)
After not using the car for about 2 hours... i was hoping the light would go off but it didnt...
Before when i have stalled my car before because of bad shifting the check engine light went on but as soon as i turn the car off and on again
it goes away...

Does any one of you think that it could be because i put in those 3.5 gallons of regular gas (87)

Any help will be appriciated...

it fine to run 87 in your car - wouldn't think that is your problem - unless it was some very bad gas

probably just a knock sensor, just get the code erased and make sure you keep putting in 93 octane, maybe slip in some octane booster until your done with this tank. i had the same problem with my last car, my new car i guess adapt to the gas put in because even though it says premium i still run it on 87 without problem.

Yah... it might of been bad gas.... cause i work at a similar place and around that time the 87 is pretty low... but premium is still good that why i went there.... could it be that i was doing 120mph?

Could be anything. that is why they make code readers. Go to Autozone and have the codes pulled and post them here.
