Default Torque Converter Advice

I have the following:
- A4 2003 Quattro 3.0
- 87000 miles
- Automatic

I found in the forums here that this has to do with the Torque Converter Clutch: Stuck Off.
I have had this code for about 6 months. The CEL used to go off and on frequently at first. Now it just stays on. The codes are 18032 p0741.

How can i be sure this is the torque converter. What should I look for, or be noticing? My car drives fine so i'm not sure that this is the issue.

Also any recommendations on where to buy a remanufactured torque converter?

I got a quote from the Audi dealer $2800 to replace the torque converter...

I live Indianapolis IN, does anyone have a contact that could rebuild one of these?
