Coolant Leak Audi A4 2010
Hey guys,
So I have a pretty bad coolant leak, and got it checked out. They told me it was a crack on the Thermostat housing. I bought the part the part online for my make model and year along with a new thermostat. It was just the housing that was sold and it said it would fit my car.
I then took the car to get fixed and they told me I have the wrong part, that the part for my car is a water pump kit and that includes everything.
I just want to know if anyone has any experience with this and would be able to tell me if buying the water pump kit is actually what I have to do, even if the crack is just in the housing?
It is a difference of $80 for the housing and thermostat, to $300 for the waterpump kit. It's a pretty big job and I don't want to get screwed with them taking it apart and then telling me the problem isn't fixed.
Thank you in advanced
