Just bought a beautiful new used A4... S4 body kit, rims... its pretty...

Couple problems i need to take care of figured i'd ask the gurus...


First of all... simple but stupid.... one of my fog lights, in the S4 style front bumper went out... where do i get these lights, and how do i change it do i have to take the bumper off?

Second... Speaker in the bottom of the passenger front door blew, how do i take the speaker cover off without damaging it... just pull hard?

3rd... Strange ticking noise when the clutch is not pressed, soon as the clutch is in, it goes away for the most part... i assume some tightening of belts is the cause of this anyone know what might cause this tick?

Also a strange raspy ticking, bad sound in 1st gear but only in 1st.... not a transmission type sound, more like a wrapping tick, may be associated with the other, may not....


I think thats about it...
any help ?

 

i can help you only on what i have already encountered myself

as far as the fog lights are concerned, i just changed mine
the bulbs are called H11's and you can find them all over the place, including ebay...no need to take off the whole bumper, just the clips holding the grill around the light...comes off very easily
as far as the noise in 1st, a lot of us seem to have that....i dont know if we have an explanation, but i know i have seen this thread before...

 

Mines a 99, you think its the same?
It has the S4 bumper, which im not sure is a 99, so thats where im confused.

 

You gotta take the inside door shell off to get to the speaker.. DONT pull on the speaker grill youll break it. Look on www.audiworld.com for the DIY. Dont just replace one unless its the oem component speaker.. If your gunna do aftermarket, do both doors and you might have to do a custom job to get it to fit right.
