HEAD LIGHTS, SIGNAL LIGHTS & WHIPPER NOT WORKING
I just go a 1998 Audi A4 Quatro and my headlights and turn signal and whipper are giving me some problems. When the key is on the “run” position, the lights work just fine, but ones I start the car they stop working. The hazard light works on both the run postion and when the car is started. Can you please help me.

Sound like you have a short somewhere when the car is running.
If it weren't for the wiper not working I would suggest the relay. But since your wiper stops working too, then I would point to the wiring or a fuse, or even a bad ignition switch. Can you get access to a VAGcom?

I had to scan it because the check engine light was on. The only code I got was "P0411". I am planing on changing the pipe/tube the the secondary intake thingy. I checked all the fuses and everything was ok.

there actualy known to go bad... Check all the fuses that are related to those accesories if there fine its probly the switch but theres no way for us to know for sure
Try wiggling the key while its running and see if the lights come on at all... It could be a relay maybe the wipers are just a cooincidence, do the wipers work with the car off and key in the "run" position?

SlimChriz,
The whiper works with the key in the "run" position but not when the car is running. I just took it in for check up at my mechanics. He just found out the ignition switch is prolly dead. So I am going to change that and let you guys know how that works. Thanks for all the help you have giving me today as a newbie.
The other question I have is that car as 74K miles on it. Do you advice I change the timing belt soon.

Car should be pre-wired for a trunck mounted 6 CD player. They are available on ebay and in the marketplace at audiworld forum. Make sure you buy one with the correct connector.
