The A4 that is driven daily and is so well known in Midtown New York City, a silver 1997 A4 2.8L 5 speed, now has 587,972 city miles on it (and appears that it will easily make 1,000,000 km) and it is still unmolested... unrebuilt, disassembled, or remachined in any way. It is all Audi.

The engine and transmission are all original except for fluids, filters, spark plugs, belts, thermostats, and water pumps. Even the starter, fuel injectors and spark plug wires are original and have never been serviced.

The extremely well documented Audi has been maintained since new exclusively by the dealer, Langan Audi in Latham, New York who proudly attests to its service history and accuracy of the mileage.
